Nintendo Co. said Sunday that a server for its U.S. unit's website had been hacked into but that no company or customer information was compromised, marking the first time the Japanese gaming giant has been targeted in widespread global hacking attacks.

DS Lite Discontinued, Price Down to 100 $
Nintendo announced that it is dropping the suggested retail price of the DS Lite to $100, effective June 5. The move adds weight to reports that the handheld has been discontinued. A recently leaked internal memo from GameSpot indicated that Nintendo is retiring the DS Lite and would no longer produce the system.

PSN Full Restoration In Sight
Sony Corporation and Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) announced today that Sony Network Entertainment International (SNEI, the company) will fully restore all PlayStation®Network services in the Americas, Europe/PAL territories and Asia, excluding Japan, Hong Kong, and South Korea by the end of this week

Successor To PS3 and 360 In Development
It's official. All 3 giants on the console industry is making successors to their consoles. Nintendo is set to reveal their next console at this year's E3. Sony confirmed during the company's investor meeting today that they're developing the successor to PS3. And if we look at recent job postings on networking website LinkedIn, first discovered by Beyond3D, it reveals that the company is hiring positions to work on next-generation console architectures in its Xbox division.

Sony's Problems Rages On
Seems that the rumor that the PSN Store will reopen on May 24 is a false alarm. Sony's update stated that the service back up by the end of the month. Some features of the network will also be offline for maintenance until day's end today, though a “majority” of US consumers will still be able to access online play. This as fresh hacker attacks plague the company in Greece and Japan.

Sony's Network Outage Costs 24 Billion USD
How much did the PSN outage actually costs Sony? With 77 million accounts details compromised and a reported $318 per record attached for the third party security firm alone, Sony are looking at a bill of $24.5 billion. If you add that to the recently announced customer compensation package and the revenues from the network itself, then the result is one expensive headache for Sony.

DoA : Dimensions Cancelled in Sweden, Norway And Denmark
Dead or Alive: Dimensions is a fighting game for the Nintendo 3DS. One of the great games that'll be released for the 3DS. It has been released in Japan 3 days ago. But there's still a couple of days left before it's released in America.
Despite the lack of great games in the 3DS ( for now ), Nintendo has cancelled the release of DoA Dimensions in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark due to pornography laws.

Sony's PSN "Welcome Back" Program Details
Well, the PSN is back, at least in the Sony's major regions. And they finally released the full detailed version of the Welcome Back program! Although there's still no news for the AllClear ID Plus service that they promised, we can be quite sure that the announcement will be announced soon...ish.

PSN & SOE Restoration Started
Yes folks! The PSN restoration has begun! You can now update your firmware, and change your password ( you must )! The restoration has started in a couple of regions. These services will take a bit of time to be turned on and rolled out to the whole country. The process has begun and some states are being turned on now. We’ll be updating the map below as service comes online in individual states. It will take several hours to restore PSN throughout the entire country.

Disgaea 4 : Newbie-Friendly
Disgaea may be a niche series, but publisher NIS America pledges to put "one copy in every home" of Disgaea 4, the latest in the hardcore tactical RPG franchise. Above is the trailer for the JP version, and later, at the bottom, there's a trailer for the US version, though it's basically the same, but the US version has the text translated. All gameplay scenes are the same though.
