Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan Online

Osu is a rhythm clicking game that's precisely like "Osu! Tatakae Ouendan!" on the DS. The gameplay consists of only three elements: tapping circles on the touchscreen, dragging a ball across a fixed path and rotating a spinner very fast

In the DS version, you can see the circles on the bottom screen, and on the top screen you have the story. Each stage is basically a self-contained story about a person in trouble. That's where the Ouendan (Cheer squad) comes in. Through the magical power of male cheerleading, you have to help the people in trouble.

But unfortunately, most PC's don't have touchscreens, which is why a lot of people play this game using their mouse. (It's possible, but kind of hard in my opinion). I, myself, use Intuos 4 to play this game.

The client that you download is only around 20 MB. But alas, you'll have to download the songs separately ( which is around 10-20 MB each, depending on the song ). There are packs too, but I recommend searching for the songs that you actually want to play and download them one by one, as opposed to downloading packs ( who knows, there might be redundant songs that you don't like )

Taiko Mode
There are also special modes in this game, one is the Taiko mode. It's similar to Taiko no Tatsujin, Namco's simulation of playing drums to the beat of the music. In osu!, beatmaps can be played in the styling of Taiko no Tatsujin through use of the specal Taiko game mode.

Catch the Beat
Catch the beat is simply pressing left and right to move a basket, and catch the falling beats. Seriously, this is not so hard.

Afterword
All in all, it's a great game, but unfortunately, not so popular. The Taiko and catch the beat mode are so-so, don't really like them though. The main part and what makes the game interesting, is simply the Ouendan on PC! Wished for it for a long time, and I didn't know that there's already one already. Kind of embarrassing really. If a friend of mine didn't tell me about this game, I won't be playing it right now!

Here's a crazy replay of someone playing this game
