Set 17 years after Soul Calibur IV, Soul Calibur V has a new protagonist, Patroklos, son of Sophitia. Namco Bandai have promised upgrades and tweaks to the combat system, a better character editor, and a bunch of new features "to make battles more exciting".
Though I really hope that the bunch of exciting features is NOT just making the female characters' clothes thinner, or giving them less clothes, or bigger boobs. Seriously, those does not make the game more exciting in terms of gameplay.
Oh, and there will be more crossover characters.
Although Patroklos is here, it seems that Pyrrha won't be around. Both are the child of Sophitia and Rothion. I wonder, where is Rothion anyways? His wife is battling here and there, and now his son is also in the fray, but the father never came out and battle.
