Windows 7 : 350 Million Sold

According to Windows, they has sold 350 million licenses for Windows 7! But is it that great?

Of course, hands down, Vista is just plain bad, and 7 is plain epic. This one's not up for debate. 7 is even starting to rival XP afterall.

But the 350 million licenses.. Microsoft doesn’t break out in its numbers how many of those licenses are preinstalled on new PCs, sold as upgrades or sold to volume licensees. Moreover, Microsoft gave free Windows 7 Professional license codes to students enrolling in universities that's part of the MSDNAA Program, which may accounts for maybe millions of licenses.
