Rumor : iPhone 5

The iPhone 5, which was rumored to be released this Summer, is now rumored to be quite different than iPhone 4.

According to Joshua Topolsky on "This is my next phone", the iPhone will look something like the image above ( image rendered from the various information from their various sources )

If the image is true, that this is quite the overhaul. The home button, which has been always round round and round, is becoming bigger, and it's also a gesture area. Which means you can swipe or something on the home button, and the iPhone will do something. ( Hey, it's just a rumor, there's still no information at this moment what kind of gestures will you be able to make with the home button )

And it actually looks more like the slim iPod touch, rather than the fatter iPhone 4. Furthermore, it's said that the screen on the device will occupy the entire (or near to it) front of the phone, meaning almost no bezel. It's also says the company is doing very “interesting things” with bonded glass technology, and has been exploring designs where the earpiece and sensors are somehow behind the screen itself, making for a device where the display is actually edge-to-edge. Regardless, the sketch they've seen suggests the screen will go up to 3.7-inches while keeping the current resolution, and at that size, pixel density goes from 326 to 312 (a drop of 13ppi). That means that Apple can still tout Retina Display technology (the claim is that anything above 300ppi means the pixels aren’t distinguishable at 12 inches).

The rumors are escalating everywhere on the web, and the rumors just left me wondering more and more! What kind of innovation will Apple bring the world this time with the iPhone 5? Hopefully, they won't betray our hopes!
