PSN Downtime : 5 Days Already

It's been 5 days since the PSN Outage, and there's quite a lot of news and impact from it!

According to Sony, they turned off the PSN because of an external intrusion. But it's not clear yet who actually intruded into the PSN Network
An external intrusion on our system has affected our PlayStation Network and Qriocity services. In order to conduct a thorough investigation and to verify the smooth and secure operation of our network services going forward, we turned off PlayStation Network & Qriocity services on the evening of Wednesday, April 20th. Providing quality entertainment services to our customers and partners is our utmost priority. We are doing all we can to resolve this situation quickly, and we once again thank you for your patience. We will continue to update you promptly as we have additional information to share.

And currently, Sony is trying to bring the PSN back online. They're also rebuilding the system to strengthen their network infrastructure. But it seems this'll take a couple more days.
We sincerely regret that PlayStation Network and Qriocity services have been suspended, and we are working around the clock to bring them both back online. Our efforts to resolve this matter involve re-building our system to further strengthen our network infrastructure. Though this task is time-consuming, we decided it was worth the time necessary to provide the system with additional security.

We thank you for your patience to date and ask for a little more while we move towards completion of this project. We will continue to give you updates as they become available.

The impacts from the outage:
  1. No Multiplayer
Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat both have multiplayer components that can't be accessed without PSN, and that goes double for SOCOM 4.
  2. No Netflix
Since the outage began on Wednesday night, many PlayStation 3 owners have experienced issues with the digital media-streaming service, which requires an active PSN log-in to access from the PS3’s XMB. Some gamers have noted that simply ignoring the "sign-in to PSN" prompts will allow them access to the service, where others, who have yet to sync their Netflix and PSN log-ins, receive a lengthy error message that blocks the service completely.
  3. Impact to PSP
Currently impossible to download new games for the PSP. And for gamers that bought things from the Japanese Playstation Store, switching between Japanese and English PSN games means logging into a different account, which is currently impossible.
  4. Playstation Plus
For Playstation Plus subscribers, the outage has a direct effect on their wallet, since they pay for the service to get some extras
