A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a post about fastening your computer, Here. In the post, I only wrote about the common disk defragmenter tools provided in windows. Now, I'll introduce you all to a tool to defrag, that's better than the common tool given in windows.
Why is defraggler better?
- You can defrag a file, folder, etc. You don't have to defrag your whole drive
- Defraggler uses the same safeguard as the ones used by Windows to prevent data loss.
- Small size, installation under a minute, and ready to defrag your hard drive and start speeding up your PC in no time.
- Defraggler has an interactive drive map: a visual representation of how the space on your hard drive is filled (or empty). From the drive map, you can use it to identify specific groups of files. For example, if you hover your mouse over a box, a tooltip will tell you how many files are in the block. Click the block and the list of files in that location appears in the Highlighted file list. From here, you can select one or all files in the block to defragment, select all files in a folder, save the list of files to a text file, or even view the folder in Windows Explorer.
Defraggler's Interactive Drive Map gives you immediate graphical insight into what's on your drive.
- The Quick defrag option. It's not as thorough or as deep as the full defrag, but it's a good first start and something you can do every few days to keep your PC running faster.
- Defragment Free Space! But it's free space! Why should I defrag it? Because Fragmented free space leads to further fragmentation of your files. When Windows writes a new file to your hard drive, it may have to break it up if it can't find a large enough chunk of free space for it to fit in. By defragmenting free space, you will improve Windows' performance when writing new files. You'll also help prevent new files from being fragmented.
- Scheduled Defragmentation
- Multi-lingual support
