Vita Hands-on!

The folks at BGR just got their hands on Sony’s brand new PlayStation Vita — its next-generation portable gaming console. Games were crystal clear in HD and the device was light, but large enough to feel like a great immersive gaming experience. It’s probably a bit too big for most pockets, but it will be perfect in a backpack. Also, you’ll probably note the fingerprints in some images — the device is definitely a grease magnet.

Nintendo's Wii's Successor Announced at E3

Reggie Fils-Aime revealed Nintendo's new console and its controller live on stage at the company's E3 press conference today. The new system is known as Wii U, and the controller features a large 6.2 inch touchscreen onto which games can be projected. You won't need to give up your gameplay when someone else comes into the room and wants to watch TV.

NGP Officially Named Playstation Vita

At E3, Sony unveiled that the NGP will be named Playstation Vita, and the handheld will pack AT&T-exclusive 3G. The Vita has 2 version, the 3G, and the Wi-fi ( iPad much? ). And they cost quite a hefty sum too! $US/EU299 for 3G, or $US/EU249 for Wi-Fi only. Though it is still under Nintendo's 3DS's price.

3DS eShop Open!

After a slight delay, the 3DS eShop is now open for business. That’s just one numerous features enabled in a major system update that just went live a few moments ago. Gamers can also use the system’s Internet browser and transfer DSiWare games from their DSi/DSi XL system to the 3DS. Supposedly system owners can enable automatic updates as well.

Nintendo Hacked

Seems like there's nowhere safe in the internet! Nintendo Co. said Sunday that a server for its U.S. unit's website had been hacked into but that no company or customer information was compromised, marking the first time the Japanese gaming giant has been targeted in widespread global hacking attacks.

A Couple Of PSN Updates


First and foremost, here's a great video on why Anonymous didn't cause the PSN outage. And I personally agree with him. Simply put, there are no lulz on the PSN outage, the only thing there was boredom, and criminal activity.
