"Bin Laden was a bad man, and people feel relieved that he is gone. To be able to recreate his death is just an added bonus." - Kuma Games CEOIt doesn't take a week from Bin Laden's death, and it's already a video game!
KumaWar Episode 107: Osama 2011 is the final mission of the long-running online video game franchise, which launched in 2004. Based on publicly available data, the game recreates bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, and puts you behind the weapon of a member of Navy SEALS Team Six, which gunned down the world’s most wanted terrorist.
There's the good side and the bad side to this.
The good side : Gamers can relive the reality that Osama is dead
But the bad side is : Quick game like this doesn't offer that good of quality
But for New York-based Kuma Games, the game has good 3D graphics engine that allows it to be quickly reskinned with new art and characters. The company started making the series in 2004 with Operation Anaconda, an episode that began with the invasion of Afghanistan. Keith Halper, chief executive of Kuma Games, said the final episode in the series, KumaWar Episode 107: Osama 2011, gives a kind of closure to the series for gamers who played the whole thing.
There's seem to be quite an opportunity in the death of Osama. The opportunity to boost sales by producing kill Osama game. And we can be sure, that Kuma games won't be the last to produce a game to kill Osama. Because... there's already another one that's available, though this one's a web-based game, and free.
