Sendoid

A new file transfer, and this one seems pretty promising! Sendoid combines the best aspect of sites like Rapidshare and Mediafire, services like Dropbox and protocols such as Bittorrent.

If you want to send a file only to a single person, Sendoid is the way to go! You don't need to worry about file size, security, or upload/wait times. Sendoid is a peer-to-peer and browser-based service, so the startup is betting that peer-to-peer sharing will mean faster transfer times than if you were to use a service that transfers via a central server — and being browser-based means that there are no software to install.

The in-browser sharing works by opening a 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encrypted pipe directly between the sending and receiving machines. Sendoid handles the connection to a peer introduction service, but all the data flows direct.

If you want to send a file, simply go to sendoid, and select the file you want to transfer from your computer. It will give you a URL, which you can give to the recipient to download. As long as the recipient is online, he or she can then open the link and begin download.

With the in-browser service, Sendoid limits the file size that you can send based on system resources ( between 600 MB - 1 GB ). But you can download the application to simply do away with the size limit! Oh, it's also free, so you don't need to hesitate too much.

So, because Sendoid is a P2P ( Peer to Peer ) service, for you to be sending files to another computer near you will be really quick. Sendoid can transfer 100 MB in 35 seconds flat.

Now head over to Sendoid and give it a try!
